Artist’s Statement

I work in print creating lino-cuts and wood-cuts based on photographic depiction of the Liverpool City Region, its architecture and people. I am interested in portraying structure and form with dramatic or calm prints, each with an identity to match the space which it is highlighting. I have taken inspiration from the work of Wirral artist, Geoff Yeomans and his intimate study on Birkenhead, hoping one day to create a body of work that could accurately convey the feeling of a place as well as that.
