Artist’s statement

Anita Reid’s work alternates between intimate and detailed landscapes and a more  broader, indefinite image in an attempt to capture that which is seen, and also felt, in a particular place.

Between the inner and outer worlds there is a poetic quality that carries the image towards a new reality. It is this elusive condition that Anita strives to realize in her work.

Anita obtained a BA honours degree at Chester University in 1995 going on to gain a Masters degree at Liverpool University in 1998. For many years now she have been running Art classes in Acrylics and mixed media which allows for readjustments as the work develops from the inside. Anita also run Life classes for adults and A level students.
