Susan Lee Brown is a multi-disciplinary artist, working in many media but concentrating on painting with oil and printmaking.
She received the Maureen Hinchliffe Award at the 2014 Wirral Society of Arts National Open Exhibition and is currently listed in Who’s Who in Art. Her prints are created using various techniques including dry point, linocuts, etching and engraving. These are usually very limited editions and original in their execution.
Some fine art study at the University of California preceded at move to the Northwest of the U.K. in 1979 necessitating a change of technique and style which has evolved over time. Courses at the Bluecoat gallery and through Dot-Art have supported both printmaking and artistic development.
Susan feels that the Northwest provides inspiration for city scenes, rural and animal depictions as well as seascapes and beach scenes.
She is a member of the Wirral Society of Arts, Dot-Art, and The Two Rivers Art Group.
