During her early career Linda Blythe lived in London and worked as a freelance illustrator. Her paintings have been used on book covers, packaging, greetings cards and in magazines. Clients include Penguin, Pan and Arrow books, Avon Cosmetics and PG Tips. She taught Art for many years but now dedicates her time to her personal work.
It is difficult to define her work by it’s subject matter or style, the only constant is her love of colour. The early photo realism has made way for her recent mixed media abstracts. She thrives on uncertainty and enjoys the process of exploration and discovery. This, she describes, as fascinating, all engrossing but never relaxing. She likes it this way.
